5 Days

To have trained and competent Emergency Response Team Members capable of responding to an emergency incident underground using Closed Circuit Regenerative Oxygen Breathing Apparatus Sets.

This course is suited for new and current Emergency Response Team Members who are required to use Closed Circuit Regenerative Oxygen Breathing Apparatus Sets in irrespirable atmospheres responding to emergency incidents in an underground environment.

Fire Fighting Techniques

3 Days

To have trained and competent Emergency Response Team Members capable of responding to Surface and Underground Fires. A fire has the potential to injure personnel, damage equipment and affect the whole mining environment. It is therefore imperative that Emergency Response Team Members are competent to deal with all facets of Fire Fighting Techniques.

This course is suited for new and current Emergency Response Team Members who are required to respond to surface and underground fires, and fires located in irrespirable atmospheres.

Rope Rescue Techniques

3 Days

To have trained and competent Emergency Response Team Members capable of safely responding to and rescuing trapped or injured employees from heights or depths using approved Rope Rescue Techniques. 

This course is suited for new and current Emergency Response Team Members who are required to use Rope Rescue Techniques to rescue injured employees suspended at heights or retrieve injured employees who have fallen to depths on the surface or underground work environments.

Vehicle Extrication Techniques

2 Days

To have trained and competent Emergency Response Team Members capable of responding to Light Vehicle and Heavy Vehicle accidents on the surface or underground requiring Vehicle Extrication Techniques to be implemented to safely extract injured or trapped employees from the vehicle. 

This course is suited for new and current Emergency Response Team Members who are required to use Hydraulic Vehicle Extrication Equipment and Vehicle Extrication Techniques to safely extract trapped or injured employees from vehicles in all work environments.

Self Contained Open Circuit Breathing Apparatus Course

2 Days

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and technical skills to safely wear and operate Self Contained Open Circuit Breathing Apparatus Sets.

Emergency Response personnel are reliant on using Open-Circuit Self Contained Breathing Apparatus when responding to fires emitting toxic smoke and fumes, hazardous chemical spills, confined space rescues or entering into an area that has an unknown or high concentrations of a contaminant present. Entering into these types of areas unprotected could jeopardise the person’s health safety and well being.

This course will provide participants with the theoretical knowledge and technical skills to be able to identify workplace hazards, assess the level of risk involved and identify and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate event occurring.
